Tarte lights, camera, lashes!

It’s Mascara Week here on Stuff Lindsay Bought and first up is Tarte’s lights, camera, lashes! This product is kicking things off on a high note, with great results and claims that, for the most part, are quite reasonable.

Tarte describes this mascara as a four-in-one product because it supposedly lengths, curls, volumizes and conditions lashes.

Having only used this product for a week, I can’t really comment on the conditioning claim nor on the one about how this product is, “…dermatologist- and clinically-proven to increase the appearance of lash volume“(no, there is no link to any study or any other info on this claim).

But I can say that this mascara does a great job at curling my lashes and provided just the right amount of volume and length for a day-time look. Tarte describes this product as, “…a push-up bra for your lashes…”, a comparison that I think is completely fair because product visibly perked up my lashes without pushing them into falsies territory.

Because of that, this mascara isn't likely one you want to pull out when you’re going out at night and want drama. But it’s ideal if you want people to think that you were just born with naturally lovely lashes.

While I do like how pretty this product makes my lashes, I love how it actually stays in place. There was little-to-no flaking and my lashes looked just as good at the end of the work day as they did at the start.

I also love how easily and cleanly this mascara went on. There was almost no clumping or lumping and when there was some, it was easy to remove.

Like all Tarte products, this one doesn't contain parabens, phthalates or synthetic fragrances, among other things. And while it’s not cheap, it’s fairly priced at $19.
