Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss

I am the worst at blogging. I really should have written this review back in the spring when this product line was still new; particularly since I received a tube of this gloss shortly after this line hit stores, something that never happens to me since I'm a bad blogger (I actually received this product as part of a swag bag I received at a Loose Button event).

But whatever, better late than never right?

And really, Benefit’s Ultra Plush lip glosses don’t need this review because there are already plenty of positive write-ups about this product out there because these glosses are excellent; they're pretty, easy to apply and bag-friendly.

Benefit claims that these products, “…glide on extra smooth and feel ahhh-mazingly silky & luxurious” and I completely agree. I love how this product feels, as much I love how it looks.  It goes on like satin and isn't the least bit sticky or drying feeling. While do I wish the colour was a bit more durable, I actually don’t mind re-applying this product because it feels so great on.

I'm also a fan of the soft-squeeze tube packaging. It’s sleek, it’s fun and it allows for quick and clean application. It's also quite durable, making this product perfect for your bag.

Benefit offers this product in six shades of glossy colours. The one I own is called Hoola and while Benefit describes it as a “shimmering golden nude,” I would describe it as more a shimmering bronze, since it’s more “brown” than “yellow”. I quite like it and while it’s really a summer colour, I will likely be wearing it year round because flattering and contains just the right amount of sparkle and shine.

I've tried out a few of the other colours and while CORALista and bella bamba are a bit too bright for my tastes, I really like sugarbomb, which is basically a light pink version of Hoola.

These glosses retail for about $22, which is a reasonable price for a product of this size and quality.

Would I buy this product: Yes! I can definitely see myself picking up sugarbomb in the near future.

Should you buy it: Yes! These glosses are quite possibly the best lip glosses I've ever tried out.
